Parable: The Land of Everything Allowed
“Once upon a time, there was a country where everything was free, free land, free jobs, free education, and even free crowns to rule. No one had to earn anything; they just had to know someone. The people learned early: lying could open doors, bribes could build bridges, and cheating could climb ladders. In this land, justice had no voice. The poor were quieted with crumbs, and the wise were mocked as fools. Righteousness packed its bags, and truth was put on trial. The rulers wore masks of peace, but their hands were stained with silent wars. One day, a child stood up and asked, “If everything is free, why is everyone still poor, sick, and afraid?” No one answered. And the silence shouted: “Because corruption is the only thing truly free.”
Expose: Normalized Corruption in the Real World.
This parable exposes how a kingdom of heaven sees the world system where everything is free, why because the king of this world uses the corrupted wisdom and everything in this kingdom was corrupted. Let´s take a look these examples:
- Nepotism in government: Jobs given by favor, not merit
- Health and education systems: Bribes for basic services
- Religious hypocrisy: Leaders living luxuriously while the flock suffers
- Cultural proverbs: “Everyone does it.” “That’s how things work here.”
- Global examples: Use reports from Transparency International, World Bank, or real news cases
- Cost of ‘free’ corruption: poverty, brain drain, injustice, hopelessness
➤ Kingdom Truth: Corruption enslaves even when it disguises itself as freedom. The king of this world corrupts people by making them believe that by having the things freely, they have freedom, this is not true, the principle of freedom has cost, and boundaries.
➤ Isaiah 5:20 – “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter” Isaiah was saying this “in kingdom where corruption reigns it is simple to be confused as long as there is no cost and boundaries or limits, this is the danger of freedom without boundaries or limits. Isaiah used woe, I like the word, to express that they are suffering from misfortune, affliction, or grief, they are in unhappy situation.
➤ Ecclesiastes 10:5–6 – “There is an evil I have seen under the sun, as an error proceeding from the ruler: Folly is set in great dignity, While the rich sit in a lowly place.” A king Salomon with a long time of research, his findings confirm the evil, instead of good, what is the evil he found? “As an error proceeding from the ruler: Folly is set in great dignity, While the rich sit in a lowly place.”, in other word, in this world reigns confusion, disorders, chaos.
Kingdom Revelation
- Corruption is counterfeit freedom, it replaces divine order with self-interest.
- The true Kingdom operates on truth, righteousness, justice, and love, not bribery or power games.
- Jesus rejected Satan’s offer of corrupt kingdoms: Luke 4:5–8 read: “Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him, all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7“Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” 8And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” because His throne is founded on justice and truth and He knew that freedom has a cost and limits: Psalm 89:14 read “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face”.
- A nation without integrity may appear successful but is destined to collapse from within.
